Qualified teams determined using the current standings (including matches played on February 11th) and the FIFA rankings.

  1. UEFA: France, Portugal, Slovenia and Switzerland qualified instead of Croatia, Israel, Russia and Turkey.
    CAF: Algeria eliminated Egypt.
    CONCACAF: Mexico and Honduras qualified instead of Costa Rica and Trinidad and Tobago.
    OFC/AFC: New Zealand qualified instead of Iran.

    24 out of 32. Not that bad.

  2. Well, it was based on current standing as of 11 February 2009. Lots of things have changed. Check the latest seeding post in the page header. I will update it later today.
