  1. In the RWA - CGO game, does Rwanda only get a 2 multiplyer because they won in pso instead of 3, like CGO got in the first match?

    1. This is also in the Malawi - Benin tie. Benin get more points than Malawi because they won the first match. Malawi beat a stronger opponent, but because the second match (which they won) went to penalties, they get fewer points. At least according to the FIFA Calculator. Doesnt make sense to me.

    2. Thorsteinn,

as far as I know the rule "PSO-win counts for 2 points" is only applied when a match ends in a draw in regular time (or after extra time) and a decision is needed. There are 2 cases: in case it's the second match of a two-legged tie then at this point both matches have ended in a draw. The other case is when it's one knock-out match. There is jurisprudence for the adaptation of this rule: the CAF Nations Cup 2013 qualification-tie between Zambia and Uganda (October 13th 2012).
So in both cases you mention the PSO-winner (Rwanda and Malawi) should get the 3 points for the second match as they won that match in regular time.
If the FIFA-prognosis tool tells you otherwise, it's another proof that the tool is flawed.
