  3. Did El Salvador drop because they played and lost to Spain?

    1. Hi Jaime,

To answer this for yourself please visit the page:

      http://www.fifa.com/worldranking/rankingtable/index.html

Find El Salvador (page 5) and click on it. You'll then see that El Salvador lost two matches in this period, and that no matches "dropped out" of the ranking. You'll appreciate that if you study http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/fifafacts/r&a-wr/52/00/97/fs-590%5f10e%5fwrpoints.pdf, that taking an average of more matches without gaining any points from those played matches during the most recent period, that El Salvador's ranking points will severely be reduced. Hope this makes sense.
