  4. India's friendly against Syria cancelled. What would be India's ranking at the end of this ranking period because India wouldnt be playing a single match upto next rankings.

  5. @Isaac Thobile

    It's not about me rating a team or not. It's an algorithm and I'm sure I made no mistake when computing Botswana points. If you think I made a mistake, please post here your calculations in order to compare them with mine. That being said, I'm sure FIFA's official release on Jan 12th will prove me right.

    @Abhishek

    132 points. Tied with St. Vincent and the Grenadines on 143rd.

    Final 1- win over Indonesia (3-0)

    18 Dec
    Semi Final 2 - draw with Vietnam (0-0)

    15 Dec
    Semi Final 1 - win over Vietnam(2-0)

  9. Malaysia not fair play

  10. @Hussein

    A bit late... I'm not sure the game against Syria will be included. It would be logical to include all Asian Cup matches in a single ranking. That's how I'd do it.

    So, without the Syria game, Saudi Arabia will have 432 points (79th place)

    @Kuwait Anonymous

    No, I had Kuwait with three draws. They performed better than my probable results. They will be 98th with 328 points.

    @Malaysia Anonymous

    I had Malaysia losing to Vietnam and then getting only one point against Indonesia. Instead of 145th, Malaysia will be 142nd with 145 points. Remember, AFF Cup matches are considered friendly games for FIFA Ranking purposes and the teams involved are outside the top 120.

    In other news: Egypt just shot themselves in the foot ranking-wise. Even if they win against Tanzania, they will drop to 10th.

  11. hi Edgar
    thanks for your great information but i read in your comment that egypt will be 10th after winning tanzania why will that happen?

    ReplyDelete
  12. @khaled: Before the game against Tanzania, Egypt had a years total points of 8254,56. Divided by the number of games (12) Egypt played the last 12 months, means they had an average of 688 points.

    The game against Tanzania earned Egypt 216,72 points, so their new years total becomes 8471,28. Divide that by the number of games (now 13) and you get an average of 652 points. So the game against Tanzania has cost Egypt 36 points of their total ranking points, and with that 2 places on the list.

  13. @ Tobcoach
    thanks Tobcoach for your reply , but egypt is in a friendly tournament that means that it will play 2 more games before 12th-jan (the new ranking) and 99% it will win them , then it will play in the 14th (semi) and 17th (final.
    will that also lower Egypt's ranking in january and will that also lower it ranking in feb if they won the semi and final ?

    ReplyDelete
  14. hi khaled, I am from Egypt too.
    there is a deadline for each ranking which is the last thursday before the official ranking, so the matches of Egypt aganist uganda and broundi will be calculated in the February ranking. Egypt will lose nearly 350 points in the February ranking and will be out of the top 30....
    GO Egypt and wish to be the top of the world isa......

    ReplyDelete
  15. Is that a final ranking?
    Will Egypt ranking will be 8th?

    ReplyDelete
  16. No, it is not the final ranking. Egypt wont be the 8th anymore because it played aganist tanzania yesterday, so Egypt will drop th the 10th.......

  17. not accurate, man !!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Why is it not accurate? Please explain of forever hold your silence.

    Simply screaming that it's not accurate is not very accurate...

  19. @Tobcoach

    Thanks for standing in for me. "Forever hold your silence". It's very Shakespearean :)

    @Isaac Thobile
