AFC MA Ranking update (7 April 2017)

Weighting for the FIFA ranking part of the formula dropped from 30% to 10%. The MA ranking at the end of the club season (November 2017) will be used to determine the slot allocations for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

FIFA ranking points computed for November 2017, considering scheduled matches as defeats.

See previous update.

West

India overtook Jordan, thus the I-League champion will now host the Jordanian champions instead of traveling to West Asia.

Using the same conditions as those in the 2017 AFC CL (i.e. Kuwait suspended; Iraq, Syria and Lebanon with no licensed clubs), these would be the allocations:

United Arab Emirates 3+1
Qatar 3+1
Saudi Arabia 3+1
Iran 2+2
Uzbekistan 1+2
India 0+1
Jordan 0+1
Bahrain 0+1

Matches:

UAE 4 vs. (IND 1 vs. JOR 1)
QAT 4 vs. (UZB 3 vs. BHR 1)
KSA 4 vs. IRN 4
IRN 3 vs. UZB 2

East

Again, there's a switch, as Philippines overtake Myanmar. Not only will the PFL champions host in the Champions League preliminary round, but they will also benefit in the AFC Cup, as they will get 2 direct group stage slots instead of 1 direct and 1 playoff slot.
