EURO 2012: Final draw coefficients (23 July 2010)

The coefficients for the EURO 2012 final draw will take into account results from:

EURO 2008 (qualifiers and final tournament) - 20% of total weighting
2010 World Cup (qualifiers and final tournament) - 40% of total weighting
EURO 2012 (qualifiers) - 40% of total weighting

Hosts Poland (23806) and Ukraine (28029) will be seeded for the final draw, along with 2008 winners, Spain, if they qualify.

FIFA Ranking: July 2010 final preview

FIFA will publish the ranking on July 14th.

All totals should be correct - hopefully - with historical rankings dropping out of the system.

FIFA might use an intermediate pre-World Cup ranking as they did in 2006 and totals could be different. I will check this on July 23rd.

Botswana - Chad 1 - 0 and Togo - Malawi 1 - 1 are not yet on FIFA.com, thus I didn't include these two matches in the computation.

Should FIFA include them the totals would be: Malawi 425, Togo 421, Botswana 331, Chad 185.

24 - New Zealand
21 - Trinidad and Tobago, Botswana, Chad
17 - South Africa

Worst movers:

Ghana climb from 6th to 2nd in Africa and replace Cameroon in the top 5 as Les Lions Indomptables crash from 2nd to 7th. Côte d'Ivoire climb to 3rd, replacing Nigeria on the podium.

Italy out of the European top 5, replaced by England. Portugal drop from 2nd to 5th.
