2014 FIFA World Cup seeding update (21 September 2012)

This is the top 20 of the intermediate October 2013 ranking. Next month the 0.5 time frame will close and we'll have 50% of the final formula (i.e. only the last time frame will still be pending).

  1. FIFA also uses results from previous WCs to help decide the seeding, it is not soley based on the ranking.

    1. They did - in the past (98, 2002, 2006). For World Cup 2010 they just used current ranking without calculations.

    After winning the match interval and qualify for the African Cup will enter the list of top 20 team

    After winning the Africa Cup 2013 will be among the best 10 teams

    After qualification for the World Cup will be among the top 7 teams

    And therefore it would be in the level
