2014 FIFA World Cup seeding: July vs. October 2011
Since it would have been quite a long post, I decided to split the CAF and UEFA seeding in two different posts.
The groups using the October ranking are based on the actual groups taking into account the zonal rank in July and October. For instance UEFA Group I had the teams ranked 1, 10, 25, 30 and 38 (Spain, France, Belarus, Georgia and Finland). Using the October rankings Group I would have been: Spain, Russia, Wales, Ukraine and Latvia.
2014 FIFA World Cup seeding: CAF (July vs. October 2011)
2014 FIFA World Cup seeding: UEFA (July vs. October 2011)
We all know FIFA brought the draw date forward to allow more time for AFC and CONCACAF qualifiers - already in full swing as I write this. I don't think it would have been feasible to postpone the draw for UEFA and CAF until now, but it was interesting (at least for me :D ) to take a look at the differences.

2014 F1FA World Cup Brazil™ - Asian Qualifiers Round 4 - Draw
The Committee decided to take the latest FIFA/Coca Cola rankings at the time of the Draw for Round 4 as F1FA Ranking has already been implemented for Round 3.
Yes, it's F1FA, not FIFA :)
The last match day of round 3 takes place on February 29, while the first match day of round 4 is scheduled for June 3.
I think the draw will take place in March, using the March FIFA ranking that will be released based on my calculations on March 15.
4 years ago, the 4 lowest seeded teams of the 10 qualified for the 4th round were placed in a single pot.
Here's the March 2012 FIFA ranking, counting scheduled games as defeats:
Pot 1: Australia, Japan
Pot 2: Korea Republic, Iran
Pot 3: China PR, Jordan
Pot 4: Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia

EURO 2012: How the play-offs affect the pots
France will root for Bosnia-Herzegovina... Isn't that something :)
Sure to be in pot 4 if they qualify: Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland, Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Estonia.
That leaves Croatia and Portugal as the ones that could push teams to a lower pot.
Teams that could be affected: Russia, Denmark and France.
So who's safe?
Pot 1: Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Netherlands
Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England
Pot 3: Greece, Sweden
Pot 4: All play-off teams, bar Croatia and Portugal
Russia
Pot 2: If Croatia don't get two wins against Turkey
Pot 3: If Croatia qualify with two wins against Turkey
Croatia
Pot 2: If they qualify with two wins against Turkey
Pot 3: If they qualify but not with two wins against Turkey
Denmark
Pot 3: If Croatia don't qualify or Portugal don't get a win against Bosnia-Herzegovina
Pot 4: If Croatia qualify and Portugal qualify with at least one win
Portugal
Pot 3: If they get at least one win or (they qualify with two draws and Croatia don't qualify)
Pot 4: If they qualify with two draws and Croatia qualify
France
Pot 3: If Croatia and Portugal don't qualify
Pot 4: If Croatia or Portugal qualify
And here's the table with possible coefficient values - goals scored in the play-offs not taken into account since they won't affect the pots.
D - draw, W - win - L - loss, Q - qualified team, P - play-off team
