  1. Argentina were only 6th at the last WC draw, and that was after coming 2nd in the Copa. Am I wrong in thinking they'll probably miss out on a seeding this time?

  2. @ MV

Depends if they have a strong qualifying campaign or not. There are still a lot of points up for grabs for Argentina. And they still have a World Cup quarter final appearance in their back pocket too.

  3. Hi Edgar, thank you for the unexpected seeding updates,i am always exicted to catch a glimpse of a nations possible path to the Jules Rimet.i do have one question about the awarding of FIFA ranking points to team GreatBritain and their respective federations at the Olympics. How does FIFA distribute the points amongst British federations?I'm sure there is a rule I am just not aware of,but I have faith that EdgartheGreat will enlighten me.
    Thanks Edgar,you are the best

Automatic top seed as host, like any host would be, then the team will go back to not existing again.

The men's Olympics matches are not official FIFA internationals, and therefore do not count for FIFA ranking points. This is because there are age restrictions on the Olympic teams.

(Lorric: I read his question slightly differently than you)

    1. Thank you for the responses gentlemen.
Yes I was referring to the impact on the FIFA ranking to which I now understand is non-existant.
      Thank you both again.

P.S....Matches I would like to see before October 2013

      Chile - Cote D'Ivoire
      Chile - Italia
      Chile - England

P.P.S .....I had a dream Europe secured only four seeds......could I possibly be a Clairvoyant?

  6. Hi Edgar,I was just wondering if you might be publishing an update of the final seeding before the start of the 2012Euro.
It would be very interesting to see the before and after picture and the immediate impact on the seedings it can have.
I know you're a busy man and if its not possible I will understand.
You still provide a heck of alot more insight and information than that fifa website, thanx again

VOTE EdgartheGreat for FIFA General Secretary

    1. A job at FIFA's Content Management department would be my choice, not general secretary :)
