    I was hoping you could explain to me how the Draw for the world cup works? (the pots etc.)

    As an Australian, the predictions from random.org are looking pretty dire, was just curious to know how it all comes together.

    This is the 2006 system.

    Pot 1: seeded teams
    Pot 2: the remaining UEFA teams
    Pot 3: AFC + CONCACAF
    Pot 4: CAF + CONMEBOL

    No more than two UEFA teams in a group.
